Wilting Light is a video art piece by MetaCaustics that explores impermanence and anticipatory grief through the image of a lotus releasing petals and luminous orbs. The project later expanded into an immersive installation, pairing the animation with a hand-painted, projection-mapped mural of the lotus emitting glow. Illuminated only by the video and projected light, the intimate space invites viewers to step into this larger than life lotus to experience the work from within, blurring the boundary between the animated world and the physical environment.
